Web Videos

website video production
Harness the power of video on your website!

Using the magic of greenscreen, we shot this video in a living room under our half-day $1000 video production plan.

We would have preferred to mix in different types of shots and have the on-screen person smile more, but this was a rush job.  We'll be doing more videos for them, (Joomla web developers - CompuSolver.com), so stay tuned.

This was a greenscreen job.  That means we setup a large backdrop stand and stretched a big green screen (like a huge green bed sheet) over it, and along the floor.  The "talent" stands about six feet or more in front of the backdrop (and standing on the green "sheet"), so that he is in a "sea of green".

We set up our cameras, teleprompter and studio lights, place a small wireless microphone on the narrator, and let him read his script.

A teleprompter is a device that sits directly in front of the camera lens and allows the script to scroll slowly so it can be read while the narrator looks right into the camera lens.  (You may have heard recently about some problems President Obama has had with his teleprompters.)

We use two cameras so that if the person flubs a line (I flub a lot of 'em!), he can pick right up without having to start all over.  The second camera allows us to cut from one to another so you don't notice if he isn't in exactly the same position with exactly the same expression, etc.

"Talking head" videos like this one mostly is, are very effective compared to static web pages, but not nearly as effective as web videos with mixed shots.  What I mean is like shots of products, customers using products or receiving a service, etc.  But since CompuSolver and OKVideoProductions are both owned and run by us, we have to do things like this between client projects, so our projects tend to get rushed and get less attention.  You know what they say - "Plumbers' homes have leaky faucets!"
